Spray tower scrubber also known as Performed Spray Scrubber are gravity spray tower in which a well distributed spray is produced at the top of a tall tower by high pressure spray nozzels.
The main collection mechanism is impaction, but since the relative velocity is low, good collection efficency can only be assured by the use of fine sprays.
Units of this type are usually used to reduce a dust burden at source.
