Selective Reduction

Selective Reduction processes are systems available for NOx removal and operate by mixing a liquid reducing agent, typically ammonia/urea based, with the flue gases containing the NOx which cause a chemical reduction of the NOx to nitrogen.

The two primary types of Selective Reduction processes are:

• Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
• Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR)
