Depth Filter

Depth Filter

In Depth Filtration, particles finer than the pore of the media are retained within the media. The solids are not easy to recover and any appreciable concentration of solids will quickly block the media. Thus in depth filters are used for the clarification of the liquids containing small concentration of fine unwanted particles. If the slurry contains a range of particles size, the coarse particles may need to be removed before the fines can be fed to a depth filter.
