INVENTORY AND COMPILATION OF ATMOSPHERIC EMISSION SOURCES OF A PRODUCT PRODUCTION COMPLEX CHEMICAL (EA7)

ISSUE

Under the new environmental legislation, a chemical production complex must comply and provide an inventory of sources of air emissions. STS Canada was mandated to support environmental managers to carry out an emission inventory of all emission sources at the complex.

TECHNOLOGICAL CHALLENGE

The mandate consists in carrying out the inventory and compilation of all sources of atmospheric emissions as required in the Regulation respecting industrial depollution attestations.

RECOMMENDED SOLUTION

Provide a complete list of all sources of air emissions and their location according to the plan of the complex:

• Compile all emission sources
• Identify the location of sources
• Measure or estimate each emission source (flow rate measured by the centers and/or anemometer and / or dimension of the outlet) according to its location

RESULTS

The final report identifies each of the sources of air emissions and includes a summary table of all sources of emissions as well as a map of the sources to the overall arrangement of the complex.
